Founded by Yuria Kailich and Joel Harding, Item:Enso is a Brooklyn-based studio deeply rooted in process and built slowly, piece by piece. Yuria and Joel share our passion for crafting everything by hand here in New York, with a focus on reclaimed materials, in their case guided by the feel of clay, slate, or steel in its raw form.

Earlier this year as winter began to turn to spring, Colbo’s own Rowan Spencer and his wife Emma Macdonald - known together for their Mon Petit Canard pop-up - headed to Japan on a belated honeymoon with select Colbo SS25 pieces in their suitcases.

Jackson Devereux is an Australian-American filmmaker as well as the singer-songwriter behind our second vinyl pressing, ‘All Alone as the Sagebrush Begins to Bloom Again,’ which we released with Colbo SS25.

Earlier this spring, our dear friend Jill Schweber documented her husband, herself, and friends in SS25 selections from Colbo and Small Talk Studio as they made stops around the island of Oahu.

We first met Sophie Randall when we wandered into Fox Object, her newly opened shop just a few blocks away on Allen Street. The space is filled with vintage furniture, lighting, and ephemera—bits and pieces from the past, unearthed and sourced for present-day spaces. 

We invited friend and collaborator Jordan Page to stop by and discuss his approach to thrifting as he made his way through the vintage racks at Colbo and other favorite shops nearby.

For the latest edition of Colbo Chats, we sat down with Sabai Sabai founder Oscar Tiné ahead of the nomadic shop’s pop-up at the store last weekend. The London-born, Paris-raised, NYC-based multidisciplinary artist-turned-collector sells “curated objects and tchotchkes”

Nick Williams + Phil Ayers of Small Talk Studio have made a name for themselves through their made-to-order, hand-drawn garments crafted here in NYC with fabrics sourced from Japan + India. We met up with the two founders [+ our friends] near both of our studios in midtown for an interview and accompanying shoot.

This March we were excited to host the visual artist Paulina Freifeld for a curation in the Colbo backspace. Prior to the exhibition, we had the chance to catch up with Paulina in her studio and hear more about her favorite things.

To kick-off 2024 events we hosted legendary Japanese-brand Porter Yoshida in the space for two weeks, for their first-ever North American pop-up. 

We sat down with the art + ephemera collector Geoff Snack. Geoff is the founder of Wrong Answer, a retail consultancy and art book curation project, focused on rare materials in publishing space. And we had a chance to hear more about his favorite titles.
