The unpretentious facade of Ernie Palo’s Japan-made garments barely masks designer Ryo Yamaguchi’s obsession with craft and fabric. That’s not the only thing he shares with Colbo, one of Ernie Palo’s first American stockists and with whom Yamaguchi often partners to create special items informed by their shared ideals. He also operates a wine bar in Tokyo called Slow that mirrors Colbo’s deep love of a good sip.
