‘WINDOW SEAT’

A playlist for Colbo by Jackson Devereux

Jackson Devereux is an Australian-American filmmaker as well as the singer-songwriter behind our second vinyl pressing, ‘All Alone as the Sagebrush Begins to Bloom Again,’ which we released with Colbo SS25.

The EP - available to stream now on Bandcamp - is made up of three guitar-based compositions Jackson wrote while on the road shooting his feature length documentary, ‘Not One Drop of Blood.’

As some lucky visitors to the store on release weekend will know, his guitar picking on the songs is ethereal and eerie, yet soothing - reflecting the sparse landscapes of the Eastern Oregon Hi-Desert where the film was shot.

In this guest playlist that Jackson put together, you’ll find a collection of ambient textures, soft-focus psych, and slow, sideways pop songs that evoke a similar feeling. It’s the kind of mix you find yourself turning up on a long drive or falling asleep to on a flight, looking at orange clouds below you.

‘Not One Drop of Blood’ premieres in New York next month as part of the Lower East Side Film Festival. Until then, enjoy…
