we’re looking for someone to help manage and oversee all colbo production. you’ll take each collection from first idea to finished garment in a store: working on design and development day to day, owning the calendar, running production with our teams in the EU, and keeping factories, suppliers and wholesale partners moving.

development & design

• work with tal on each season from concept onward: research, references, fabric and trim direction, fits, colorways
• build and maintain tech packs, BOMs, specs and grading
• run fittings, track comments, manage proto → production sample rounds
• keep the line plan and seasonal development calendar
• manage ad-hoc brand projects and collaborations

sourcing

• find, sample and negotiate fabrics, trims and finishing
• manage mill and supplier relationships, lead times, MOQs and costs
• track fabric landing at factories
• own fabric yield and consumption per style: confirm marker yields with the factory before cutting, reconcile actual consumption against the BOM after each run, and keep the BOM as the single source of truth for what a garment really uses (including linings and pocketing)
• keep a live raw-material inventory across every location: mills, each factory, the DC and the studio
• manage trims end to end: zippers, cords, stoppers, labels and hang tags ordered against the production plan, with lead times built in

production

• build the production sheet from the order book and reconcile every confirmed order line against it before cutting starts
• hold factories to a delivery schedule by style
• book and follow third-party QC inspections, and close out findings with the factory before goods ship
• manage our romania-based production manager and be her main line to new york
• costing, margins, order quantities and production tracking
• quality control and approvals, catching issues before they ship

supply chain & logistics

• run inbound and outbound through our EU distribution center: article master, inbound POs, packing lists and shipment notifications, so every delivery books straight to stock
• plan outbound shipments by stockist and route
• own the customs data behind every shipment: HS codes, country of origin, manufacturer IDs, compositions and values, kept correct in zedonk and the DC so nothing gets held at a border
• track every parcel and pallet to delivery

comms

• day-to-day contact for factories and suppliers
• line sheets and product info

wholesale

• work with our operations lead on orders, delivery timelines and reorders with stockists and distributors worldwide
• prep samples and materials for market and showroom appointments
• make sure what we promise buyers matches what production can deliver
• keep a live readiness tracker per stockist: shipped, ready, in production, and when the balance lands

who we’re looking for

• 2+ years in development, production or design
• strong on garment construction, fabric and fit
• organized to the point of calm; comfortable moving between design, spreadsheets and factory calls
• clear and direct
• experience with zedonk or similar systems
• comfortable with customs paperwork and freight, or willing to learn it fast
• detail-oriented and numerate: comfortable with yields, costs, margins and stock counts

about colbo

colbo is a multidisciplinary fashion label and store at 51 orchard street on the lower east side, founded in 2021. we design in new york, make our clothes cut-and-sew in europe, and sell in our own space and through stockists across the US, europe, japan, korea and the middle east. we’re a small team, so everyone works close to the product.
