Colbo today
Marking our fourth collection with the American heritage brand, we’re excited to share Sirah, a refined evolution of past collaborations in an entirely new silhouette.
Where is there to go after three successful collaborations between brands? What can be said or done that has not already been shared? How can such exchanges continue to evolve with each brand and account for all that has taken place in the time between launches? All answers point to the new.
This is why, when considering our next collaboration with Sperry, the American heritage shoe brand we’ve now partnered with to develop three iterations of footwear over the past few years, there was only one natural answer: to create something entirely original.
Hence came Sirah, a brand-new style conceived for this collaboration, which exists somewhere between a ballet flat and a vintage suiting shoe. The Sirah Loafer is reflective of Colbo’s approach to dressing and making garments, which seeks to convey refinement with an understated effortlessness. This approach is perhaps most evident in our Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, which pairs well with the latest shoe collaboration and was made with the Sirah Loafer in mind.
The collaboration also marks Colbo’s first use of true black, introducing a new expression for the brand through a palette rooted in tonality and sophistication, and simplicity, in addition to Chocolate, a warm brown taken from our signature nature-inspired palette. Both are constructed from supple leather and nubuck and suitable for any situation, from formal gatherings to casual coffee runs.
Yet not unlike previous iterations, ease remains a constant at the core of our shared vision with Sperry. Sirah is no different, maintaining the same worn-in texture and natural patina of past seasons. The low-slung silhouette slips on with a soft, relaxed feel, while keeping the clean lines and tailored craftsmanship of a classic dress shoe. The shoe’s foundation includes Sperry’s classic Cloud construction paired with a cushioned comfort insole that brings tactile richness and everyday comfort. A new outsole pattern developed exclusively for Colbo emphasizes the collection’s artisanal approach, while Sperry’s signature Wave-Siping™ technology provides traction and stability.
Photographed by our close friend and collaborator, Lucia Bell-Epstein, and captured in motion by videographer Andrew Price over a weekend trip to the textile-factory-turned-hotel, Pocketbook Hudson, in upstate New York, the campaign evokes the singular sensation of autumn in the Northeast, which we call home.
Referencing the past while always looking ahead, Sirah feels like the most personal of our collaborations with Sperry thus far, shares Colbo’s founder, Tal Silberstein. It might also be the best reflection of what makes this exchange so special: the innovation that comes with the push-and-pull between heritage craftsmanship and modern expression.
We chose to celebrate this moment on the other side of the country in Los Angeles, a city that holds many crossovers with our NYC world and where we continue to build community and seek new inspiration. A new shoe, a new city, a new chapter for Colbo (x Sperry).
